In a standard tattoo removal procedure, a laser is used to target the tattoo pigment, which causes steam and gas to be produced and trapped under the skin. This creates a response known as “frosting”. Because of the frosted layer that is created, it blocks any further treatments from effectively reaching the deeper pigment that is left over.

The StarWalker FracTAT laser treatment uses a combination of four different wavelengths in an advanced, high-powered solution for tattoo removal.
This means that, with FractTAT, we can target a wide spectrum of pigments as shown below that traditional laser tattoo removal treatments cannot target as effectively.
Most of our clients report that tattoo removal with the Enlighten, our compounded numbing cream and our Zimmer (blows ice cold air) is easily tolerable but we believe in complete pain control.

We often find that the first treatment is often the one that benefits the most from injections. Once a lot of the ink is removed the subsequent treatments become even easier.
The total numbers of treatments vary depending on several factors like depth, quality of the ink, type of ink colors and the size of the tattoo.
Almost all tattoos require multiple treatment sessions for clearance but our specialists will give you a better idea of the total number of treatments needed during your consultation and once your treatment begins.
Even though it will take several treatments to achieve the optimal tattoo clearance, you will see improvement immediately after your first session. The tattoo will fade in consecutive weeks but the maximum fading will occur during the fourth and sixth weeks after treatment.
Dark colors tend to fade with less treatments and faster time than light colors like yellow, orange, green or blue.
One thing is certain, with StarWalker tattoo removal laser treatments you will need less treatments than with any other laser system.
